Freycinet & Coles Bay

Coles Bay is the small seaside village that is the gateway town to Freycinet National Park. If you are planning on exploring the area this is the perfect spot to base yourself. There are plenty of accommodation options from camping through to the world’s best boutique hotel! There are also some great local restaurants and an excellent little café serving excellent coffee (Café Tombolo). Coles Bay is where all of our tours start and finish from.

There are two small supermarkets with ATM’s and fuel, a post office, bakery, tavern and bottle shop. We recommend travelling in this area with a vehicle so you can make the most of your stay. It’s also good to know that there is limited phone reception on the East Coast of Tasmania. The provider with the most coverage is Telstra.
