Information

The tour is undertaken in stable, double sea kayaks, to cater for all levels of experience and ability.

Single bookings are welcome - you will share a double kayak with a guide or fellow participant.

Relax in the company of a small group – our standard tour is a maximum of 12 participants.

No previous experience is necessary to enjoy these adventures.
You do not need to be able to swim as we operate by the philosophy we are ‘on the water’ not ‘in the water’.

What to bring
  • Casual clothing, e.g. shorts and t-shirt
  • Footwear, e.g. sandals, trainers, or thongs
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and a water bottle
  • Camera  (optional)

  • Double sea kayaks and all equipment, including life jacket, warm polar fleece jacket, spray jacket
Age limits

All ages are welcome from 8 to 80 yrs old. 
(Younger children welcome by arrangement)

Weather

As we operate in the outdoors, weather conditions may affect our adventures.

In this case, we alter the tour route to suit the conditions and may paddle an alternative route in the local area.

If our guide decides that the weather conditions are unsuitable for paddling, then clients will be given the option of transferring to another available departure or receiving a full refund.

Directions

Kayaking tours meet at Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay.

Car - Drive along Sandy Bay Rd. Turn left onto Marieville Esplanade. Parking available.

Taxi - return transfers are available from the Visitor Information Centre, for a small additional cost (please enquire when booking).

Foot - Approx. 20min walk from Salamanca Place through historic Battery Point.

Bus - Franklin Square to Sandy Bay Road - Stop 11.
