Staff profilesSimon Stubbs Simon has been a leader in the adventure tourism industry in Tasmania for over 15 years. His passion for guiding began as an expedition rafting guide on the Franklin River in south-west Tasmania. His focus later shifting to sea kayaking and the spectacular coastline of the Freycinet Peninsula, where he established Coastal Kayaks in 1996. Since commencing business as a “one-man-show” to developing the multi-award winning company Freycinet Adventures, Simon maintains the same passion for Tasmania, sharing amazing adventure experiences and commitment to exceptional customer service. Simon remains a leader in the adventure tourism industry, reflected by his following positions: - National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council – appointed member

Alison Stubbs Like Simon, Alison has been involved in the adventure tourism industry for 15 years, commencing as a bushwalking and cycle-touring guide. Having first met ‘on the job’, Alison joined Simon in 1998 in Coles Bay to assist in his new business. Taking on the administrative role of the business, together they developed Freycinet Adventures into a multi-award winning company, while balancing the challenges of family life. Alison balances her role of General Manager with her role as a Director of Tourism Tasmania (2006-current) and Marine and Safety Tasmania (2009). Other achievements include: - 2005 Ministers Young Achiever Award – Tasmanian Tourism Awards
- 2003 Telstra Tasmanian Young Business Woman of the Year Award
